Dana Jenkins
Softball has been a huge part of Dana’s life. She started to get involved with sports related ministries in college. Dana was a member of FCA at Furman University and traveled with Athletes in Action to Venezuela in 1995. Dana was a four year starter at shortstop for Furman University where they won two conference championships during her tenure. She served as an assistant coach at Campbell University where she received her Master’s in Education. Dana also served as an assistant coach at UNC Charlotte for two years before taking her first head coaching job at Anderson University in Anderson, SC. Dana served as head coach at Anderson for three years and then took the helm as head coach at Furman University. She served in that role for 9 years and in that time led Furman to a conference championship in 2007 and Furman’s first regional appearance. Dana felt God calling her into the ministry after her departure from Furman and led her to FCA Softball to serve in coaches ministry. She is incredibly excited to share her coaching experiences in her new role as she serves coaches through this ministry.
